Aries (the ram) March 21st to April 20th
In the mythology of the Golden Fleece, Phrixus and Helle, who were brother and sister, had angered Hera, Queen and wife of Zeus. Helle was to be sacrificed but they escaped by flying across the sea from Greece to the north on the back of the ram with the Golden Fleece. Helle fell and was drowned in the sea which was named after her (Hellespont, a narrow passage between the Aegean Sea and the Sea of Marmara, known today as Dardanelles). Phrixus arrived at Colchis where he sacrificed the ram to Zeus who then placed it in the constellations.
Aries positive traits: Full of enthusiasm and courage, the ram is confident and seeks adventure in life. They make great leaders of people and show great caring for those under their command. They are confident and dynamic in their approach to life.
Negative traits: Aries can be selfish at times and their fiery tempers can often be too quick to surface.
Impatience and intolerance are often at the surface and they do not suffer fools gladly. They do not take orders or instruction well, particularly if it is about something with which they disagree.
