Astrology Not for the Faint Hearted Saturn

The most beautiful planet in our Solar System (just look at those rings) the 'planet' Saturn and yet 'he' gets all the bad press, I wonder why? Is it because he gives nothing for nothing? Every seven years he forms an angle in your chart therefore, the ages 7, 14, 21, 28 (called your 1st Saturn return) 35, 42, 49, 56 (the beginning of your 2nd Saturn Return) 63, 70, 77, 84 (along with your Uranus Return) and so on are all turning points in our lives. When 'he' visits the houses of your chart it's like having a visitor who reminds you of things not done, achieved or acquired. Let me take you on this journey for when he comes to visit 'he' stays for some time...

Saturn coming into the 1stLife'sbound to become a little more serious as you become more aware of what you want and don't want from life. Saturn visiting your 1st house (and he remains there for about 2 years) offers the following: This period can bring fulfilment if disciplined, or difficulties if negligent, a little patience and faith is called for at this time. Don't take on any new projects (better the devil you know) that don't involve what you are already doing; otherwise your biggest may be realised - stick to what you know otherwise your health may suffer! You'll also find that you're going through a transitional change with your loved ones and relationships and where relationships distract you from attending to YOU! This is a time when you must concentrate your energies on YOU and not scatter them in too many different areas - one thing at a time.

Transiting Saturn into the 2ndSaturntransiting this sector will make you more serious on many levels of your being. You'll feel somewhat quiet and sober at this time, even saying goodbye to a loved one, or meeting someone who will become a lifelong friend or lover! If you're feeling lonely, or having problems with someone you love, don't be afraid to talk about your feelings - build bridges, not walls - otherwise, frustration and sadness will be the result. In your circle it's to everyone's advantage to be open and honest with one another for lasting success. This is a period of your life when your sexual inhibitions could be frustrating and where you you'll have to separate your past from the present for problems with love, money or both will cause you a lot of concern, more so if Saturn conjuncts any personal planets and or, when he enters or leaves this house. You'll be more conservative in your financial affairs and if all is 'balanced' it's a good time for establishing a business or partnership - remembering the word BALANCE...

Transiting Saturn into the 3rdYou'll become more mentally serious during this period capable of mental discipline and precision. Serious or important agreements can be signed now, and similar projects of a weighty nature can be undertaken with lasting success. There might be moments when you'll feel a little depressed, particularly in your employment making you a tad cold and pessimistic - during this transit it is not a good idea or time to apply for a new job, or deal with people in authority. You might become nervous and jump to conclusions, ignoring good advice and in general behaving in a confused, but headstrong way. If you change your job or alter your environment out of 'frustration' you'll probably regret it! Positively: You'll amaze yourself with your powers of concentration at this time and benefit from older or mature people giving you sound advice for you can learn from them. Saturn transiting this house often brings about feelings of isolation (from family, friends, neighbours, etc) if so, concentrate on your sense of SELF and mental wellbeing...

Transiting Saturn into the 4th During this period of your life, you'll engage in deep introspection, self-examination and self-criticism. You'll also go through periods of isolation and depression and how you cope at this time will set the pattern for your future. If you have just broken off a relationship, it may be best to leave it that way, otherwise it'll only add to your depression and moodiness. Don't make any real effort to put things back together until this period is over, remember, this is a good time for self-searching, so long as you do not judge yourself too harshly. It does not matter if you are good or bad; the real question is WHO you are, and learning to live with yourself. Do not let self-questioning lead to self-doubt; otherwise you could suffer deeply for a long time to come and don't give in to negative feelings. Parental issues will arise as will domestic issues, there'll be a lot of pressure of some kind; shelve major changes until it is over - when you're more objective and in a better mood. If loneliness becomes a problem, grit your teeth until this transit passes - grin and bear it - better still find a sympathetic person to talk to! On a positive note, this can be the best time to re-build your life as long as you live in the moment (in reality) and not in some fantasy place...

Transiting Saturn into the 5thDon't worry if you feel a bit cut off from others during this transit because your concern now should be on the YOUR work, career or business matters that are in front of you and when finished, you can socialise all you want with a clear conscience - with accomplishment behind you. On another level your current situation (love life, love of life) may not be what you really want with you feeling discouraged in many ways because you have no freedom of action - the secret here is to find a balance between what you have to do and what you would like to. And if in any kind of rut, then it's time to act with confidence and break free - you cannot disregard your duties and obligations, but time for your SELF is just as important. You'll feel challenged or blocked by those in authority, or from relationships and if something is really not working in your life, be willing to let it go and to begin again. Older people might give you advice; listen to them and if your (creative) energy is low concentrate on things important to YOU...

Being the house of children and childish expression Saturn transiting this house brings a touch of seriousness to all things creative, spontaneous and the 'making of babies'...

Transiting Saturn into the 6th: Obstructions of or limitations in health can come into play during this transit and they can last a long so forewarned is forearmed. Diet needs to be watched and improved for your body might not be assimilating everything it needs from the food you eat, perhaps taking vitamins would help in this regard, exercise and increased physical activity to be very beneficial. Difficulties arise in the workplace with the environment not conducive to your best efforts or perhaps your fellow employees make life miserable for you! Keep in mind you cannot expect others to work as hard as you or to grasp details as rapidly as you can - though you're probably a practical, conscientious, hard worker the tendency to worry and harbour anxieties may affect your health causing depression and perhaps hypochondria! Visitors, perhaps unwelcome ones, may appear or people from your past to re-enter your life and worry you regarding their difficulties, financial, emotional, physical and spiritual. If thinking about a change of career with no real idea as to where you want to go remember the phrase: "Better the Devil you know than the Devil you don't." Keeping in mind Saturn will remain here for about two years so watch his entry into and his exit of the house cusp for all of the above to strike with meaning...

Transiting Saturn into the 7thYou'll feel somewhat quiet and sober at this time - saying goodbye to a loved one, or meeting someone who will become a lifelong friend or lover! If you're feeling lonely, or having problems with someone you love, don't be afraid to talk about your feelings, build bridges, not walls around otherwise, frustration and sadness will be the result. Sexual inhibitions frustrate - problems with love, money or perhaps both will be giving you quite a lot of concern for difficulties or challenges will certainly arise from somewhere at this time, don't ask favours from anybody. All relationships are sober and reliable now with you becoming more realistic about your problems and on the business front it's a good time for establishing a business or partnership (if all of the above is taken into consideration, that is)...

Transiting Saturn into the 8thCertain situations will come to an inevitable conclusion and change for you're being 'forced' to severely discipline yourself in your use of resources, your life is evolving; therefore pour all of your energies into structuring new growth. On a material level, you'll experience financial problems, or alternatively, other shortages may occur at this time placing a strain on your financial resources. Those in 'authority' (Banks, Taxations, Insurance, etc) might impose heavy burdens, restricting your freedom of movement or, increase your responsibilities in these areas. Death and Taxes - the two things we cannot escape! Your hard work and love for learning will help you to achieve one of your life's ambitions and as this transit passes you'll have more pleasure and happiness than you have had for a very long time, plus you'll find the insight to see more clearly and deeply into your own SELF than you've ever done discovering the creative forces at work within.

Transiting Saturn into 9thThis transit represents structure; it can mean solid achievement - or you'll come up against one obstacle after another - teaching you something, what I wonder? No matter, whichever way things go the word expansion is the word to be aware of everything is 'expanded' in some way. You may want to break free of any restriction - or choose to expand within the framework of life you've already built - it depends on how happy you are with your present circumstances. New experiences on many levels are happening now however, if you're indecisive and worrying over little things you'll only make life unpleasant for yourself and others! Saturn's transit of this sector will make you more serious and forward thinking in a practical way so plan for the future by laying the proper foundations. Writing and publishing are great hobbies at this time and there are many forms of writing and publishing from seeking a publisher to self publishing to writing endless blog articles on the net...

Transiting Saturn into the 10thYou are entering the most important period of your life - with new beginnings in your career and assuming new responsibilities in life. If you've been doing the things you know you should be doing then this will be a new and important phase of activity. If you have been living your life in a way that's inappropriate this could be a time of crisis! Relationships may end, careers and homes may change and if you're not conscious of the need to do so, you may feel unhappy. Let these changes occur, and go where they take you and you'll be happier than you know (even if it takes a few years. There could be worries connected with a parent (same-sex). People who are in any way superior to you will appreciate your calm and controlled way of handling things for they'll see you approaching your own goals methodically and in a practical manner - your work is recognised - use this time well, being given the opportunity to lay a foundation that will protect you in the future. Saturn coming into the 10th is coming home...

Transiting Saturn into the 11thLots of different events happen now, depending on who you are and how you express your individuality. You might develop new and unusual ideas that have practical applications; on the other hand, some of your ideas may be blocked! You may have heavy responsibilities with groups and partnerships, or they may give you problems at this time. Are you emotionally mature in the way you relate to others or, are you asking for freedom with no responsibility at all? Do you give others the freedom you demand for yourself? Groups and partnerships can limit your freedom and there could be problems in business and joint financial affairs, some of this may be due to your own selfishness and tendency to use people, more so if this is your habit or inclination! Positively, your thinking is more calm and collected, and you may turn new and unusual ideas to practical use. Advancement and opportunity may come your way now with new ventures, and changes for the better. This is a good time for business, professional advancement and to look for or change jobs. You can master any new situation with ease, because you approach change in an orderly and logical way. You'll find it desirable to work with other people in projects that previously gave you frustration / limitation for they'll give you a new and exciting insights into the projects at hand...

Transiting Saturn into the 12thDuring this transit it's possible that something or someone will depress you at this time - your dreams, aims and ambitions (built up during your time spent in the 11th) are likely to be 'touched' by harsh reality; bringing you down to earth, emptier for their loss. This might happen suddenly, or slowly for this transit reveals the difference between your visions and illusions or, if you have successfully achieved what you wanted you might discover that you're not as satisfied in the way you imagined you would be! Fight your difficulties with positive thinking - you may have to comfort a friend, or member of your family, who is going through difficulties or they will counsel you! Keep away from drugs and alcohol; they only increase your problems, and make everything much worse. You could be sensitive to others talking about you, or feel that others are against you - it's more likely you're imagining this for you can be your own worst enemy now. Forewarned you're forearmed...

I believe if you have a philosophy and no one knows about it, it doesn't mean anything. If you have an idea or insight and tell no one - it's meaningless.
